Bundaberg Turtle Tours
Experience the sights and marvel in the wonders of Queensland as you travel to the southern Great Barrier Reef and the picturesque Bustard Head, Bustard Bay and Round Hill Creek.
We have 4 and 6 day tour options (subject to availability), departing from Brisbane and experiencing Bundaberg, 1770 and the Wide Bay-Burnett Region. Travel, accommodation and most meals are included in the cost.
6 Day Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – Departing Brisbane, you will head north through the Sunshine Coast and Gympie regions with informative commentary from your driver along the way, stopping at the Maryborough RSL for lunch before continuing to Bundaberg.
Day 2 – Turtle Season (November to March). Visit Fairymead House Sugar History Museum, Bundaberg Botanical Gardens during the day and then at night dinner at the Bargara Foreshore followed by the trip to Mon Repos Turtle Discovery Centre to await the arrival of the turtles.
Off Season (April to October) Visit Turtle Discovery Centre, visit Bargara Foreshore and Bundaberg Rum Factory.
Day 3 – Turtle Season (November to March) visit Bundaberg Rum Factory, lunch overlooking the Burnett River and then heading to Agnes Waters and 1770.
Off season (April to October) guided tour of Fairymead House Sugar History Museum, lunch at Café 1928 before heading to Agnes Waters and 1770.
Day 4 – Enjoying the 1770 area in a LARC (Lighter Amphibious Resupply Cargo) vessel, used by the US Army.
Day 5 – Onboard the MV Musgrave Magic with “1770REEF” travel to Lady Musgrave Island and explore the southern Great Barrier Reef.
Day 6 – Head back to Brisbane via Childers.
