Arriving at Cleveland we catch the ferry to the picture perfect North Stradbroke Island. While on board, take in the fresh sea air and beautiful views across the bay. Once we land on the island we take a short drive to Brown Lake, with its tannin rich brown therapeutic waters. Here we will have morning tea, weather permitting.
Next it’s off to the historic town of Dunwich, the Bingle Rd Cemetery and Junner Rd Convict Sites, we find the convict Privy Pit and Site of Convict Barracks and Store. It’s nearly lunch time, so off to Amity Point where you will enjoy lunch at the Sea Shells Café. On the menu is fish, chips and salad followed by dessert with tea or coffee.
After lunch we head to one of “Straddies” must see attractions the North Gorge Walk. For those that feel like it, the walk is a great opportunity to stretch the legs on the trail. The complete circuit will take approximately 30 mins to walk and takes in the spectacular panoramic views of beaches and the Pacific Ocean. You may even spot dolphins and migrating whales. Maybe grab an ice cream and take in the serenity!
