Today we will be travelling to the beautiful Tweed Valley to visit the Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Olley Art Centre.
Margaret Olley Art Centre celebrates the career, life and legacy of its namesake, Margaret Olley – Australia’s most celebrated painter of still life and interiors.
MOAC combines exhibitions of paintings and objects, an interactive multi-media drawing activity, research library and education workshop, and is complemented by the Nancy Fairfax Artist in Residence Studio.
We will have a quick morning tea on route to the gallery before we enter. If you wish we can arrange a Gallery Guide for a 10.30am (NSW time) fully guided tour. This will require an early departure time, especially in daylight savings season, from your venue to make the start time. The tour will last approximately 45 minutes.
Lunch today will be after our Gallery visit at the Murwillumbah RSL at 1pm. You will be treated to an alternative meal of either Roast and Veg or Fish & Chips. This will be followed by an alternative drop desert of Cheesecake or Crumble & ice cream, tea or coffee. After lunch we will head home via the scenic Currumbin Valley, Tomewin Mountain Rd with a brief comfort stop along the way.
