Dear Geof,
I would like to let you know what a great day we all had yesterday, at Stradbroke. To say it was “great” is an underestimate.
From the moment I caught up with Tim at the Village at 7.10am, until the last bus left the Golf Club with John, at 6.45pm, the day was absolutely fabulous from start to finish.
The two men worked well together, and it was a pleasure to be part of their team, everything rang like clock work, from start to finish.
We saw Whales, Koalas, Kangaroos, Snakes, Goannas, Beautiful scenery, and much more.
I started off 3 months ago saying “We will go on a trip to Straddie to see the Whales,” and that is what was delivered.
Our lunch was superb, the efficiency of the staff, and the meal itself could not be faltered, the fish was not only hot and freshly cooked, it was very tasty and the meal was quite large, ( better than I anticipated) the dessert was “yum” plus tea and coffee, nice and hot. The staff were delightful and very obliging, we had only one ” hick up” not staff fault, just one from the Village.
After lunch, we went looking for Koalas, Tim got out of the bus, walked up to a tree, and found a Koala, bus No 1 passengers were ” Gob Smacked” how could a Dutchman do that, it would take an Aussie days.
Everyone had a great time, weather was in our favour all day. Tim entertained us with Trivia whilst we were waiting for the Barge, he was surprised how knowledgeable ” we oldies are”.
All in all a terrific successful day, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your staff for the smooth, efficiency, organisation that went into making the event so successful.
